SiteBench

White-label WordPress care for agencies. £49 a site. Named engineer. No poaching, in writing.

You keep the client relationship. We keep the sites updated, backed up, monitored and reported on, under your brand. If an update breaks something, we fix it, and you hear about it from us before the client hears about it from anyone.

What happens every week

  1. Tuesday morning: we clone the site to staging and update it there. Core, plugins and themes, minus anything on your do-not-update list.
  2. We test the staging copy before anything reaches the live site. Homepage, shop, checkout and contact pages are loaded, screenshotted and compared against the last known-good version. If a page breaks, or even just looks wrong, the run stops and your live site is never touched.
  3. If staging is clean, we apply the same updates live and check again. Every version change, before and after, is recorded and appears in your monthly report. If something slips through, we roll back from that morning's snapshot.

Alongside that: nightly off-site backups with a monthly restore test, uptime checks every minute, and a malware and vulnerability scan every week.

Free health check

Give us up to three sites and we will send you a two page PDF: WordPress and PHP versions, plugins behind, SSL and domain expiry, mobile PageSpeed score, security headers, email authentication, and the three things we would fix first. No call required, no obligation.

We use this address to send the report and nothing else. No list, no sequence.

Questions agencies actually ask

Will you go around us and sell to our clients?

No, and it is a term of the contract rather than a promise on a web page. We will not contact, solicit or accept direct work from any client whose site you place with us, for the length of the contract and for twelve months after it ends. Your clients never see our name. Reports carry your logo, your colours and your reply-to address, and the portal is ours to run and yours to look at.

Is this offshored to a call centre?

No. The work is done in the UK by the engineer named on your account. You get their name and their email address when you sign up, and they are the person who reads your tickets and runs your update runs. We are small on purpose. If we ever cannot staff your account properly we will tell you rather than hand it to someone else.

What is the actual SLA?

Four hours to a human response during working hours, 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday UK time, on both plans. Care Plus sits in a priority queue ahead of Care. A site that is completely down is picked up by monitoring within a minute and worked on as soon as it is seen, including outside working hours where we can, though we do not sell a 24/7 guarantee we cannot keep. Response time is time to a person, not time to a fix, because how long a fix takes depends on what broke.

What is not included?

New features, design work, content writing, migrations, SEO campaigns, paid advertising and anything that needs a developer for more than the included minutes. Recovering a site that was already compromised before we took it on is quoted separately. We do not pay for your premium plugin licences, though we will track them and tell you when they lapse. Hosting is not included and stays in your name or your client's. Anything outside the plan is quoted before we start, never billed as a surprise.

How do we cancel?

Email us, or remove the site in the portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month and there is no minimum term or exit fee. On the way out you get a final full backup, a plain list of every credential we hold so you can rotate it, and monitoring removed from your sites. We do not hold your data or your access hostage.

What happens if an update breaks a site?

Usually nothing reaches the live site, because the update is applied to a staging copy first and the run stops if any page fails its check. If something does get through, we roll back to that morning's snapshot, tell you what happened and what we are doing about it, and fix the underlying problem. Fixing what our update broke is included, not extra.

Do we have to move hosting?

No. We work on whatever hosting the site is already on. We need administrator access to WordPress, and SFTP or SSH where the host allows it. If a host is so restrictive that we cannot do the job properly we will say so before you pay us anything.
